Lately I have been doing a lot of research about shops, they way they display things and how they sell them online. This allows me to identify what the gap in the market is, what people are looking for and how they respond to it. I do this so that I can build the best kids and gift shop and brand that I am capable of.
One of the things that my research has led me to is that I see the same products under different brand names. What does that mean? Well, it simply means that people are buying the same products from Chinese factories and branding it as their own. Nothing wrong with that, it happens all the time, however, most of those sites are selling the product under the guise of being "ethically" created and designed by them. Now that is dishonest at worst and misleading at best.
As I am going to have a shop that not only sells my Australian made products but will also sell other brands which will be made in other countries, I thought it would be a great idea to let you know under each product description where the item was produced, giving you the power to decide if that is what you want to support and buy. This way you don't have to wait until you have the product at home to see country of origin and perhaps you will also have a better understanding why some products are more expensive, when they are either made here in Australia, USA or in Europe.
